We can't wait for the full reveal.
Hyundai is rapidly becoming renowned for modern yet stylish design, particularly when it comes to the exterior of its new vehicles. The Hyundai Elantra N Line is a good example of this, but that fresh, exciting styling - dubbed Sensuous Sportiness - applies to its crossovers too. While there is a new special edition of the current Hyundai Kona, a new model is on the way and it promises to look even better than before. In addition, there will also be a sporty N Line version of the SUV. Although details on the new models are still scant, Hyundai has seen fit to give us a sneak preview.
Hyundai claims that the new Kona will have a wider stance and "shark-inspired nose" for a sleeker look. As usual, LED daytime running lights will help the car stand out at night while a front skid plate gives the SUV an off-road-capable look. For the N Line model, Hyundai is bringing a more aerodynamic design to the table with a sportier front bumper. Although the pictures don't reveal too much, we can see that the N Line model will also boast some aggressive vents at the top of the front bumper where it meets the hood.
While it may be too soon for us to know for certain that the overall look of both new models will be aesthetically pleasing, first impressions are good. Fortunately, this won't be one of the few design malfunctions in Hyundai's arsenal, at least as far as we can tell. With the current generation of the Kona EV already shocking us with record-breaking range, we have no doubt that fresher design combined with impressive tech will make the new Kona a smash-hit. As Hyundai continues to broaden its portfolio, we hope that it won't be long before the Korean brand makes something truly worthy of a bedroom wall poster.
