It's not much of a surprise at this point; the facelifted 2023 Hyundai Palisade will debut at this week's 2022 New York International Auto Show. We've spotted Hyundai testing a camouflaged test mule on several occasions and the Korean automaker has even officially teased the debut on its social media channels. Not much about this reveal is still left to the imagination, but Hyundai is still excited to pull the cover off later this week. Unfortunately, that big reveal will now be significantly less special because the entire 2023 Palisade was leaked early.

So, who leaked the Palisade before it was officially shown? Hyundai itself! That's right, the Korean automaker accidentally shared a preview for its livestream event in NYC, which contained a thumbnail that pictures an undisguised 2023 Palisade. The video has since been removed from YouTube, but we've managed to screenshot the aforementioned thumbnail (pictured below).

The single image reveals several key details about the Palisade's 2023 model year refresh, including the new front fascia, lights, and wheels. The grille looks noticeably larger than the current Palisade and contains a different texture than before. Hyundai kept the split headlight layout, but the upper running lights now consist of three portions while the lower main lights now position their fang-like portion out the outside, rather than the inside. It's not a major change overall, but we like how it all comes together.

This particular Palisade in the picture, likely a higher trim level, also features a new wheel design that look quite luxurious. We're sure there are other non-visible changes to the Palisade, but the overall platform and drivetrain (including the engine) are expected to remain unchanged. Expect to see some interior improvements, feature content changes, and possibly some new colors for the interior and exterior.

The 2023 Palisade makes its full debut on April 13 at 9:45 am eastern time.
