Nobody comes to Bonneville without a story. The Bonneville Speedway is where vehicles get pushed to their absolute limits, and the months, years and sometimes decades which lead up to every single run are always packed full of the proverbial blood, sweat and tears. There are a thousand World's Fastest Indian-type stories, and all of them come together every August for SpeedWeek, Bonneville's biggest event of the year.

Anthony Hopkins wasn't there this year, but there was the sort of assembly of colorful and intense personalities that you would expect, and we have photos from Speed Hunters to prove it. Classic cars are still big at Bonneville, running alongside the streamlined 400+mph land speed record cars. Everyone wants to pay homage to the glory days of hot rodding and the early days of Bonneville, so you'll see plenty of Ford Model A's all caked in salt. One thing is for sure, you will see the widest variety of some of the fastest cars on the planet.
