If there was ever a better pocket rocket in the world for a base price at around $24,000, then please let me know. The Honda Civic Si Coupe and Sedan represent high performance, reliability, and the sheer pleasure of driving in one inspiring package. Competitors have tried but haven't succeeded in matching everything the Si is and, in fact, they most likely never will. Don't expect something to come from the Corolla (which makes me tired just typing the name) and when Chevrolet tried, the Cobalt SS had the performance but not the build quality.

However, the competition isn't about to let Honda get the sole credit for building an affordable street racer. Expect for Chevrolet to release a supercharged version of their new Cruze and even look for Kia to possibly come out with a revved up Forte. Until any of that happens, the Civic Si is in a class all of its own.
