The RS badge is hallowed at Porsche. Unlike at Audi where you'll find those two letters on anything from a hatchback to an SUV, Stuttgart reserves it exclusively for the 911. But those days have come to an end, and the most hardcore of hardcore Porsche nomenclatures will now feature on the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. It's destined to be something spicy and looks just as capable on the track as its big brothers in the 911 range, but although we've spotted the GT4 RS on the street, we have yet to see what the production version will look like. Instagram user jpog.photographie got tired of waiting to see the finished product and his realistic render below looks spectacular.

The artist's design incorporates typical RS cues like the vented front fenders and that aggressive hood sporting another pair of vents and that little opening where it meets the bumper. He's also included a front splitter and that new bumper blades on either end. Some tasty wheels and contrasting engine intakes make the profile just as aggressive, as do the vents added behind the side windows. At the rear, that swan-neck rear wing is also included, along with some darkened taillamps, a uniquely-rifled dual exit exhaust setup, and of course, the Porsche script below the integrated rear spoiler. It looks great, but we're not sure about the color.

As with 911 RS models, we expect some sort of vibrant paint palette to be offered with blues, yellows, or greens. Of course, no RS is complete without decals along the door to denote which model it is. Sure, this is just a render, but it's hyper-realistic, and those dark headlight shrouds make it even easier for us to believe that the real thing will look like this. As the artist behind this render notes, we should expect to see the final version of the car revealed soon. We hope he's right, because this may just be the ultimate "thinking man's Porsche."
