Every year, the best and brightest from various motor racing disciplines come together for the Race of Champions. This year's showdown is taking place this weekend in Thailand, featuring the reigning champions from F1, IndyCar and V8 Supercars, and former champions from Le Mans, MotoGP and the WTCC. The first part of the spectacular has already crowned Germany's Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel winners of the Nations' Cup for the sixth time running, with the Champion of Champions still to be decided.

With such a diverse array of talent vying to compete on equal footing, what were they driving? Every year the organizers try to put together a range of cars to suit all the different backgrounds from which the competitors come, and this year was no different. Among the cars used are the Audi R8 LMS, Volkswagen Scirocco, Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo, KTM X-Bow, Toyota GT-86, a NASCAR-style Euro stock car with a 5.7-liter Chevy V8 and the perennial ROC buggy that packs a 1.1-liter four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower into a 475 kg flyweight package.
