At least that's the case for now.
Just last week Chevrolet revealed the facelifted for 2015 Cruze at the New York Auto Show. Yesterday, the automaker revealed the completely redesigned 2015 Cruze at the Beijing Auto Show. So what’s going on here? Simple, China is receiving the new Cruze before the rest of the world; we’ll just have to settle for that facelift for now. We’ve seen spy shots of the new Cruze testing, and we’re happy to report that the coupe-like design has made it to production.
Chevy only released a few images, but so far we like what we see. For the Chinese market, the 2015 Cruze will offer two new Ecotec engines: a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four. Chinese buyers will also have the choice of either a six-speed slushbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. No word yet on which engine/transmission combos will be offered in the US, but those wanting this new Cruze will still have to wait a year or two.
