The Results Are In: Here Is The Most Popular Car Brand

We completely agree.

Every year, J.D. Power assesses automakers based on APEAL vehicle rankings. This stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout. In the automaker world, these kinds of things are a big deal—they reflect the level of prestige and success attained in one year. This year, and for the last 11 years, Porsche has taken the overall top spot in automotive popularity. That's not surprising with the recent success of the 918 Spyder, the release of the Macan and the new Cayman GT4.

In the individual categories, the Macan placed first in the “Compact Premium SUV” segment. The Cayman won “Highest Ranked Appeal” and Porsche won the overall “Initial Quality Study.” All these achievements are pretty impressive for a single auto manufacturer, and that doesn’t even include the numerous smaller awards and points given out to other models.
