The Rezvani Tank Unveiled As A $180,000 Tactical Urban XUV

This is one of the weirdest SUVs we've ever seen but we love it.

Inspired by military vehicles, packing a 500-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and ballistic armor protection, after a recent teaser, Rezvani has today revealed its latest model called simply, the Tank. Obviously it's not an actual tank, but Rezvani claims that it "embodies many of the same characteristics found on the military vehicle with the same name." The Rezvani Tank was designed for the road, with a body-on-frame design, on-demand four-wheel drive, 430 lb-ft of torque and a "world-class" suspension system.

Penned by Samir Sadikhov, the same guy that styled the Beast and Beast Alpha, there are similarities between the so-called XUV (Xtreme Utility Vehicle) and the Californian sports cars, most notably the grille and headlights.

A pair of LED fog and a roof-mounted LED light bar aid visibility, while an optional Off-Road Package adds a six-inch lift, beefier, offroad tires, Dynatrac ProRock 44/60 axle set with E-lockers, and 2.5-inch Fox Remote Reservoir Shocks. An Off-Road Extreme Package offers even thicker tires, a more sophisticated axle solution, better brakes and a host of other quality offroad technology. Open the suicide doors and inside the cabin is swathed in hand-stitched leather with a suede headliner as part of the optional Leather Package. Toys include a 7.9-inch central infotainment screen and Head-Up display.

Other optional goodies include thermal night vision, ballistic armor including bulletproof glass, Kevlar armor, run flat tires, and a Kevlar-protected fuel tank, floorpan and radiator. There's also a tow package that adds a tow hitch and front-mounted winch. Orders for the Rezvani Tank are starting now with prices starting from $178,500. Deliveries will begin towards the end of the year.
