The Ring-side Seats of On-coming Crash

Nurburgring

Not a spectacular crash, but about as close to one as you can get.

A racetrack doesn’t earn a nickname like “The Green Hell” for being easy, and the Nurburgring is indeed one of the most difficult, not to mention longest and most grueling, tracks in modern auto racing. Crashes are therefore not terribly uncommon, but the following video is still probably the best angle from which to witness a crash that has ever been captured. It’s not immediately clear whether it was the Renault or the Toyota which was at fault.

What is clear is that the crash definitely ended the Clio’s day of racing.
