Royal families throughout the world are known for their extravagance. They live large and love to buy stuff. Why? Because they can. The Sultan of Brunei and his family is no different, but the Sultan has a particular fondness for cars. Exotic and extremely rare cars, to be precise. This newly released video is actually a photo compilation of what's parked inside the Sultan's garage. It's supposedly never been seen by the public at large before, so consider this pretty darn special.

The car collection consists of several McLaren F1s, a yellow Ferrari F50, Ferrari FXX, Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition, Lamborghini Diablo Roadster, some Koenigseggs, a Bugatti EB110 SS, some Jaguar XJ220s, a Mercedes-Benz SLR, and much more. In total, there's said to be 5,000 cars,

Oh, and we almost forgot: we counted five Porsche 959s. The reason for the multiple numbers of a single model is because family members each bought one. But why are all of these aforementioned cars old? Certainly the Sultan goes on regular buying sprees. This is because these photos were taken back in 1999. Imagine what this exuberant collection must look like today.
