The TagAZ Aquila Represents Current State of Russian Auto Industry

Possibly the first English-language review of a new Russian car you've ever seen.

It took a while, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the buying power of the average Russian citizen has improved quite a bit since then. Interestingly, this has meant disaster for Russian carmakers, since people no longer want to buy corner-cutting outdated and underpowered vehicles which characterize third-world auto production, and instead flock to imports. The car in this video is such a vehicle, possibly one of the last.

The company which made the car, TagAZ, went bankrupt shortly after debuting the Aquila, which was just last year. So even though the reviewer seems to actually like it, it was a flop.
