The Top CarBuzz Stories of 2013

It's been a year of spectacular hypercars, sexy Latinas and (sadly) Justin Bieber.

As we shield our bloodshot eyes from the first sun of 2014, the soothing shadow of the past 12 months is the perfect place to regain some equilibrium. 2013 was the year of the snake but it was also undoubtedly the year of the hypercar. While the all-new C7 Stingray was perhaps the most longed for sports car of the year, the Geneva debuts of the spectacular LaFerrari and jaw-dropping Veneno were the most exhilarating. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Lamborghini also selfishly created the Egoista concept for itself.

Rumors of Bugatti creating a 1,500-hp Super Veyron was so outrageous, we knew in our heart of hearts they couldn't be true. And as it transpired, they weren't. Thankfully that same chain of events applied to the rumor Justin Bieber was to land a role in Fast & Furious 7. Staying with the franchise for a moment, a word for Paul Walker whose tragic passing shocked the global gearhead community. Before you get teary eyed again, here's a look back at the awesome Nissan GT-R from F&F 6, and a sexy latina being thrown around in a Subaru WRX rally car should also lift your spirits. Here's to a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2014.
