The new 2013 SRT Viper GTS-R stunned the crowd during its debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The Viper will compete in the American Le Mans Racing Series and a short documentary has been released showcasing the legendary model's history in the competition. The new Viper racer will seek to build on the model's past successes in the famed racing series. The documentary focuses on the Viper's recent history in the racing series, beginning with the Dodge Viper GTS-R that reigned during the 1999-2000.

As the video points out, the venerable Viper won six straight races and held the fastest lap times during those events. Olivier Beretta was the most successful in the Viper as he took home the Drivers' Championship.
