The making of tiny working models of piston engines is not the most popular hobby in the world. The time, dedication and enormous skill required give it a pretty limited appeal. But the results can be appreciated on a much wider scale, and the work of Yesus Wilder has been consistently incredible. His most recent creation is a W32 engine, the only one of its type that we know to exist. It displaces just 47.5cc and actually runs, albeit using compressed air.
The 850-piece creation took a staggering 2,520 hours to complete, but it's all worth it, as it is absolutely mesmerizing to watch.
