There was much to celebrate at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. Ferrari marked its 70th anniversary in style, Bernie Ecclestone was honored for his decades of motorsport service, and for the hundreds of thousands of car enthusiasts who made the yearly homage to Lord March's south-coast estate, it was the chance to see some of the best supercars on the planet in action. In the Michelin Supercar Paddock, visitors found the Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 GTR alongside the likes of the Koenigsegg Agera S and Pagani Huayra BC.

After spending some time admiring these multi-million-dollar machines in static form, twice a day, the cutting edge supercars were let off their leash to ascend the 1.16-mile hill climb. We took the chance to experience the mind-bending performance of the Rimac Concept S on one such run, and discovered why Hammond had such a hard time keeping it on the road. But for supercar fans, the Goodwood FOS provides the ultimate experience, feeding all the senses with the sounds, sights and smells you can't get at any other show.
