Given the coronavirus epidemic, automakers are desperate to sell cars in order to keep the lights on. Remember, it's always possible to make online and over the phone purchases these days. You don't have to visit a dealership. In fact, that could become the new norm for the next few weeks or even months. And if you're in the market for a 2019 or 2020 Cadillac Escalade, now's definitely the time to buy.

The 2019 Escalade is currently being offered with a $9,000 total cash allowance while the 2020 model, which is exactly the same, has $9,500 on the hood. These offers have actually increased over previous months.

If you prefer to lease, the 2020 Escalade has a $3,000 incentive towards the lease itself. However, the offer is only available to current GM lessees. All told, the lease will be $829 a month for 36 months with $8,889 due at signing for a 2020 Escalade 4WD Luxury trim.

The completely redesigned 2021 Cadillac Escalade was recently revealed and is expected to be on sale in dealerships sometime later this summer or fall. And because of that, both dealerships and Cadillac want to make sure existing stock gets sold and done so fast. There could also be some unadvertised discounts potential buyers should inquire about.

Sometimes, automakers issue bulletins to their dealerships announcing quiet incentive offers, but it's up to dealerships whether to pass them on to customers. And the longer an unsold vehicle remains on the lot, the longer a dealership has to pay the interest on it, so it's very much in their interest to cut buyers a good deal.

The 2020 Cadillac Escalade carries an MSRP of $76,490, including the $1,295 destination charge. The fact that it's now possible to get a brand new though soon to be out of date Escalade for less than $70k is something any interested buyer should take into account. That's assuming, of course, they're not already eyeing the next-gen model.
