The heavily refreshed 2021 Jaguar XF has just made its official debut and the list of upgrades is quite impressive. Sadly, however, its smaller sibling, the XE, is being dropped from the automaker's North American lineup. It's another victim of the decline in demand for sedans as well as Jaguar Land Rover's own financial troubles.

But fortunately, there are still good deals to be found for those in the market for a 2020 model year Jaguar sedan, and CarsDirect has discovered one worth up to $17,000. You read that number right. The 2020 Jaguar XF currently has one of the biggest discounts on any car right now but, perhaps not so surprisingly, this is not being advertised.

A dealership bulletin recently sent to Jaguar stores indicates customers can receive a $17,000 "Allowance Credit" for the supercharged V6-powered XF S. Meanwhile, turbo-four models have a $15,000 incentive. Considering an XF S carries an MSRP of $68,200, we're talking potential savings that'll dip the price down to a far more reasonable $51,200.

It's also worth noting that the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 XF has been dropped for 2021, so now is really the time to buy a 2020 model. Factor in this discount and, well, you can't go wrong. As is typically the case, not all buyers will qualify for the incentive.

To do so, buyers will need to finance through Jaguar a non-promotional interest rate. Alternatively, they can also arrange their own financing through, for example, a credit union or their bank. But what is the current promotional rate? That would 0 percent APR for 60 months. Do the math and buyers will find the $17k option is the better value.

For now, the nationwide 2020 XF inventory appears to be relatively solid, so there shouldn't be too much trouble finding the ideal model. Still, once those V6-powered XFs are gone, that's it. No 2021s. Those interested in taking Jaguar up on this offer have until November 2.
