Last week we did a piece on the best celebrity Ferrari collectors in the world. These special Ferrari owners have the right to purchase special edition models and hypercars that are limited production. Like Ferrari, Porsche builds many special edition models that you can't just walk into the showroom and buy. These cars don't necessarily cost that much more than a "regular" Porsche, but they can often double in value based on rareness alone. These celebrities have all become loyal Porsche customers and most likely have access to any car they want.

Patrick Dempsey may be known as the hot doctor on the ABC show "Grey's Anatomy," but to car enthusiasts he is known as one of the best Porsche collectors in the world. Dempsey's very first car was a Porsche 356 that he bought right off the street with his first acting paycheck. He has also owned several Porsche road cars, including a few 911 models like the Turbo, Targa, and GT3 RS. He does own other cars and says that the worst car he ever owned was a Ferrari Daytona. Dempsey doesn't just buy Porsche road cars, he also competes for the brand in Le Mans and has owned several race cars. Talk about dedication.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres may not seem like the most likely car enthusiast, but this dancing dynamo absolutely loves cars. DeGeneres loves Porsches so much that she actually married one. We are of course referring to her wife, Portia de Rossi, who is an actress/model. Over the years DeGeneres has been spotted driving several Porsche models, including a 993, 997 Carrera S, 4S, GTS and Turbo S, and a Cayenne. Ellen probably isn't a "collector" in the sense that she stores away rare models, but she has been buying cars from the German automaker through several generations. It's hard to leave someone who is actually married to a Portia off of a list of famous Porsche owners.

If you have ever watched any of Salomondrin's YouTube videos, you know that he is one of the biggest Porsche collectors out there. Salomondrin is the type of guy who doesn't like collectors who buy cars just to flip them, and his close friends often mock him for turning into a "VIP Porsche collector." After watching his car collection grow, we'd be hard-pressed to disagree with this assessment. In just a short period of time Salomondrin has owned two 918s, a Carrera GT, a 991 GT3 RS, a 997 GT3 RS 4.0, and a Cayman GT4. Did we miss any? He even has a 911 R and GT2 RS on order. He may not like being on this list, but Salomondrin is a serious Porsche VIP.

Jerry Seinfeld is perhaps the greatest Porsche collector in the world. The comedy legend owns so many cars from the brand that it is difficult to keep track of them all. Seinfeld recently auctioned off a large number of his Porsches which sold for millions of dollars. Even though he got rid of more than a dozen cars, we bet that he still has plenty of Porsches in his garage. Some of the amazing cars that he auctioned included a 1955 550 Spyder, 1974 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR, 1994 964 Turbo 3.6 S Flachbau, 1998 Porsche 993 3.8 Cup RSR, 2000 Porsche Carrera GT Prototype, and a 2011 Porsche 997 Speedster, among many others. It is clear that this comedy legend is the best Porsche collector out there.
