Within the first week of its debut, Tesla received 250,000 preorders for the Cybertruck, despite its divisive design and embarrassing reveal event where Elon Musk failed to demonstrate the electric pickup's shatter-proof glass. Since then, that figure has doubled to over 500,0000.

Earlier this month, the Cybertruck Talk forum gathered sales data to find out which US states have the most Tesla Cybertruck preorders. Using data crowdsourced by more than 1,800 customers, the same forum has now revealed the top ten countries with the most Tesla Cybertruck preorders to give us an idea of the Cybertruck's global appeal.

Unsurprisingly, the US is at the top of the list representing 76.25 percent of Tesla Cybertruck orders from the data, but some countries on the list might surprise you. Canada came in second place with 10.43 percent of orders followed by Australia (3.16%).

The UK was the fifth most popular country for Tesla preorders (1.39%), followed by Norway (1.11%), Germany (1.05%), Sweden (0.83%), Netherlands (0.67%), France (0.44%), and Iceland (0.44%). The Tesla Cybertruck was always going to be a hit in America, but it's surprising to see it proving popular in Europe since pickup truck sales tend to be low in the UK, Germany, and France.

We're also surprised that Norway isn't higher on the list. For years, Norway has been one of the most popular markets for EVs, with more than half of new cars sold being electric.

Production of Tesla's electric pickup won't start until late 2021, but this still gives us an early indication of the countries that will have the most Cybertrucks on the road. Pricing for the Tesla Cybertruck starts at $39,900 for the entry-level Single Motor RWD model. Moving up the range, the Dual Motor AWD starts at $49,900, while the range-topping Tri Motor AWD, which has an electric driving range of over 500 miles and will hit 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, will set you back at least $69,900.
