Guitar-inspired design finally gives baby Jeeps a much-needed makeover.
Asa model that has suffered quite a bit of hate since Jeep first unveiled it lastyear, the Renegade has worked hard to finally win over the hearts of brandenthusiasts who claim that 'this isn't a real Jeep'. And while this featuredmakeover may not help the small SUV ford any rivers or climb any mountains, thetwo one-off examples unveiled on July 4th at the Montreux Jazz Festival prove thatthis car can pull of a stylish design. Inspired by classic electro-acousticguitars, the two Renegades were built by Garage Italia Customs, featuringcustom exteriors and interior.
With nine coats of paint and three-color shading treatments in CherryBlack Burst and Classic Black Burst, the duo also features unique exterior design elements likesix-string-inspired pinstripes. The design theme continues inside, where materials like blackdenim are applied to the headliner, shift boots and door panels and bespokeFoglizzo colored leather adorns the seats. Garage Italia hasn't detailed any actualtuning or modifications to the Jeep's mechanical underpinnings, but from adesign point of view, these are certainly the finest-looking concepts crafted from this model. The two beauties will be on display at the Geneva and Zurichairports through July 18th.
