Think The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is Nuts? Here's The New GT2 RS At The 'Ring

Spy Video

That sound. Oh, that sound.

We’ve previously brought you spy shots of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS out testing, but today we have something even better: a video of a test mule doing its thing at the Nurburgring. Expected to be revealed next March at Geneva, the 911 GT2 RS is likely to make around 650 hp but we wouldn’t be surprised if that figure comes closer to 700. With that sheer amount of power going to the rear wheels, the car will be equipped with the PDK gearbox in order keep lap time focus and to better handle acceleration.

Will there ever be a six-speed manual option, like the 911 R? Hey, anything’s possible when there’s enough customer demand. Power is expected to come from a twin-turbo flat-six, whose presence is indicated by additional cooling vents in the rear bumper. Also note the prototype’s large rear wing (how can you miss that, really).
