Manhart recently announced the MHX3 600, which is its go-faster version of the BMW X3 M.

According to Manhart, you currently have only two options to choose from in the high-performance midsize SUV list: the X3/X4M and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63. We don't necessarily agree with that list, as the Jaguar F-Pace SVR and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio will easily kick both those cars to the curb.

Not Manhart's version of the X3M Competition, however. The standard X3M produces 510 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. That's not enough in Manhart's world. The famed German tuner is known for producing a 777 hp BMW M5 CS and an Audi RS Q8 with 900 hp. So this X3 has 635 hp and 580 lb-ft at its disposal.

To fix the power deficit, Manhart adds its MHtronik Powerbox and a selection of exhaust options. You can go for full downpipes without a catalytic converter, which would get you into trouble in the USA. Manhart also offers a stainless steel replacement system with valve control, a downpipe with 300 Cells GESI Catalytic Converters, or 200 Cells HJS Catalytic Converters. As for the tailpipes, you can choose between carbon or ceramic finish.

All of that power is nothing without control, so Manhart also does a complete suspension upgrade, including H&R springs that lower the car by around 1.2 inches. The wheel upgrade comes courtesy of Alpina. The wheel size is 22-inches all around, while the tire size is up to 255/35 and 295/30.

Exterior wise, it gains Manhart's carbon body kit, which consists of a replacement splitter, side flaps, and inserts for the side mirrors and rear diffuser. To complete the look, this particular example was wrapped in Matt Dark Blue. It's pretty tasteful, unlike the horrendous Manhart X6. On the inside, the steering wheel also gets a bit of carbon trim.

This particular unit is number one of ten, which means it will be highly exclusive. Oddly, Manhart's options list mentions that the brakes and interior are standard, but tuning options are available on request.

All of these updates are available for the X4 M Competition as well. You can see the Manhart X3 in action in the video below.
