It's got a lifted suspension and more aggressive bodywork.
Ford offers a vast number of configurations and options for the new F-150 pickup. Depending on your needs and budget, you can choose between different cabs, various bed sizes, the off-road-oriented Tremor, and several packages.
Still, some customers want a truly unique truck that looks like nothing else and a few tempting options have begun popping up. Beechmont Ford recently announced its retro package for the new F-150 and now PaxPower has just introduced its Alpha F-150. PaxPower aims to get a headstart in this space since the likes of Roush and Hennessey are still preparing their own extreme F-150 special editions.
The 2021 PaxPower Alpha F-150 not only looks more brutish than the stock F-150 but it's a more capable pickup too. The highlight of this truck is its suspension system that uses OEM parts from the Gen 2 Ford Raptor. In front, it's got wider, long-travel upper/lower control arms and at the back, the setup includes soft leaf springs from the Raptor. There are Fox Raptor internal-bypass shocks fitted on all four corners.
Compared with the standard F-150, the Alpha has a four-inch wider track and a suspension that has been lifted by approximately 3.5 inches. The suspension is complemented by 17-inch off-road wheels and 35-inch rubber.
Not to be mistaken for just any F-150, the Alpha gets bespoke fender flares, front/rear marker lights, a hood scoop, rear cab spoiler, and a special graphics package from PaxPower. Usefully, the upgrade includes a full-size spare wheel. The comprehensive Alpha package includes all of these extras for $17,950 and it can be applied to virtually any F-150 trim or model. The build process takes between one and two weeks at PaxPower's facility in Houston, Texas, and the company will assist with the transportation of customer F-150's to and from this location.
PaxPower also offers separate performance packages, including a 770-horsepower upgrade for F-150s fitted with the 5.0-liter V8. This is a great option if you just can't wait for the new Raptor R. An Alpha version of the new F-150 Lightning is also in the pipeline.
