Few cars are as captivating to the young child as the Batmobile, and in every era, there's been a different version of the car for that generation to resonate with. The evolution of the car has come a long way, but that fascination with the Batmobile often endures beyond design changes and adulthood. For some, that means recreating your childhood dream by building a replica of the Batmobile, and we've seen some horrible ones in our time. We've also seen some beauties, some of which are even road legal, and today's feature is one such example. Added to an upcoming auction through Mecum, it could be yours.

Based on a 1975 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, this Batmobile recreation features a 460 cubic inch (7.5-liter) V8 producing 202 horsepower and 356 lb-ft of torque, along with Hydroboost power disc brakes on each corner, power steering, and a C6 automatic transmission. With a black interior to match the black exterior, it looks just like the original movie car, complete with all the crazy modifications of the time like unique exhaust exits behind the glass bubble of a cabin, a roof-mounted light, and of course, loads of Batman logos. The red Batphone even appears ahead of the center console for a truly authentic look.

As we mentioned at the outset, the car is now for sale via Mecum Auctions and will grace the Las Vegas 2021 auction on Saturday, October 9. There's no estimated value attributed to the car, but it doesn't appear to be selling with no reserve either, so if you're interested, you'll have to register for an online bid or make your way to Nevada to bid on it in person. The trip should be worth your while for the eye candy alone, as other cars being offered as part of the same lot include a 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala convertible, and even a 1969 Ford Torino Talladega.
