Other car owners who had no choice but to leave their cars outside left their fate to chance, like the owner of this C3 Corvette, who first posted these near disaster photos on Corvetteforum.

The owner, "havesometo," and his Corvette hail from Georgia, another state that didn't escape Matthew's wrath. The downed tree and metal structure nearly crushed the Vette to death. And yet, it emerged unscathed. Its owner claims, however, that this wasn't the first time his car was almost destroyed. The first time was when he parked it next to a building that ended up burning to the ground. The fire department kept the Corvette watered down, thus saving its life.
