With its record-breaking performance and limited availability, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is one of the most desirable Challengers ever made. Unfortunately, opportunities to own one don't happen very often.

Only 3,300 rolled off the production line and each car has already been sold. Inevitably, this means used Dodge Demons often fetch a fortune. This 2018 example currently listed for sale by Platinum Motor Cars Detroit is no exception, but it does have some unique selling points that make it even more special.

Not only is it the fourth Dodge Demon ever produced, but it was previously owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles design boss Ralph Gilles, who's selling the car to replace it with an "equally devilish project." Color us intrigued. According to the sales listing, the design boss's 2018 Dodge Demon has only clocked up 1,032 miles, which is lower than we would expect for a car of this age.

"Been about two years to the day since we took delivery of our Demon....I only put 1200 miles on it and never did get to try it out on the drag strip! Sadly it's time to move on as I need to make room for another equally devilish project..." Giles wrote on his Instagram page.

Finished in Octane Red with a black cloth interior, chassis number 004 is being sold for $139,995, which is around $55,00 more than the car's original asking price when it launched in 2017. That's still an astronomical markup, but at least this Demon stands out from the rest thanks to its condition and unique history.

Like all Dodge Demons, power is sourced from a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 producing 808 horsepower and 717 lb-ft of torque. With this setup, the Dodge Demon will rocket from 0-62 mph in just 2.3 seconds and do the quarter-mile in 9.65 seconds at 140 mph, which made it the fastest production car in the world at the time.
