This Dutch Company Will Turn A Tesla Into A Stunning Shooting Brake

Tuning

This electric shooting brake will be gorgeous and rare.

It may not be a popular body style in today's car market, but we absolutely love the idea of a shooting brake. Aston Martin and Zagato just showed the world how stunning this body style can be, but all 99 examples of the car are already sold out. Luckily, a Dutch coachbuilder called RemetzCar has just been commissioned to build an electric shooting brake based on the Tesla Model S. You may remember RemetzCar as the coachbuilder that created the Tesla hearse about a year ago. Now, the company gets to work on something more glamorous.

This new project was commissioned one year ago by a Dutch car collector who is particularly fond of shooting brakes. His name is Floris de Raadt, and he is also an early adopter of electric vehicles. The design for the electric shooting brake is being handled by Dutch designer Niels van Roij, who has his own design studio in the UK. The purpose of this commission is to focus on creating premium design combined with limited conversion costs. If an owner wants to take their electric shooting brake above and beyond, several custom interior options are also available upon request.

RemetzCar has started production on the fist car, which will be revealed during the first week of March, 2018. The order books for the car are now open, but only 20 cars will be built. This means that there is still a chance for 19 people to get their order in for one. We can see this project ending up a lot like the Callaway Corvette Aerowagon. The conversion probably won't add much usability, but it will still look great.
