Seriously, you could live in this thing permanently.
Motorhomes get a bad rep: they're often seen as an old person's thing or a last resort shelter during the apocalypse, but Fleetwood's new Discovery LXE motorhome will surely change your perception of what a house on wheels can be. This magnificent palace on wheels takes the standard features found on the company's amazing Discovery motorhome and turns things up to 11 for the ultimate luxury experience. We've seen some seriously kitted motorhomes before, but this looks like the perfect all-rounder and companion for your next trip to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Le Mans 24 Hour, or any other festive motor sporting event.
The Discovery LXE motorhome and the 44S model, in particular, offer a massive living space with a fully-equipped kitchen, a bedroom fitted with a king-sized bed, and even one and a half baths. This Class A RV measures 44 feet in length, is 8.5 feet wide, and includes four slide-outs that boost interior space by a massive margin. The large sofa in the middle can easily seat a family of four, and the middle section quickly converts into extra sleeping space for two. The extendable sides feature built-in recliner chairs that include cup holders and snack trays. It's the attention to detail that makes this RV genuinely shine. Above the seating area, you get tons of storage space, and the living room features a TV and electric fireplace for when Alaska calls. For added insulation during cold times, this RV offers heated tile floors.
The cab area can be optioned with an additional drop-down sleeping space, and there's a TV mounted above the front seats. Enter the kitchen, and you'll find a dual-plate stove top burner, a farmhouse-style basin, and a microwave oven. After dinner, chores are taken care of thanks to a built-in dishwasher, and food is kept cold in a sizable refrigerator with an ice maker and water dispenser. Cooks will welcome the ample countertop space, but a pull-out kitchen island adds even more room for serving caviar. The master bedroom is massive and features the aforementioned king-size bed with two small nightstands and overhead cabinets. Clothes are stored in the two big wardrobe closets, and there's a TV mounted in front of the bed, of course.
The main bathroom includes his and hers basins, a space reserved for an optional washer and dryer, and a stunning tiled shower with a glass door that came straight out of a Beverly Hills mansion. The RV's exterior also features tons of storage space, including full pass-through storage, which looks like it could hide the perfect RV sportscar: a Chevrolet C8 Corvette or, perhaps more realistically, a track toy like the Ariel Atom. This RV can tow an impressive 15,000 pounds and features three AC power units and a 100-watt solar panel. How much will all of this set you back? A hair over $500,000 gets you behind the wheel.
