Why can't all cars be this safe?
Like any good horror flick, races tend to be fairly predictable until the split second that something gruesome happens and shakes everyone out of their seats. Crashes are never a pretty sight to see, but when a driver can walk away unscathed from an accident that would usually mean death, we have to stand up and clap for the engineers who endured classroom taunts to save lives with math. That's what happened to Formula 3 driver Ameya Vaidyanathan when he touched tires with a fellow driver.
The error launched his car in the air with results that seemed to indicate the worst. Luckily, rescue teams pulled him out of the car with nothing more than the shakes.
