Salon Prive is a concours d'elegance that takes place every year at the beginning of September at Blenheim Palace in the UK, the ancestral home of Winston Churchill. Last's year's best in show winner was an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza Spider, and the runner up was a Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta. This heavily modified 964 Porsche 911 probably won't qualify for any of them, but it is beautiful, and electric.

The Everrati Automotive Limited Porsche Gulf Signature Edition has been shown for the first time, and will be on display until the show ends on September 5. We saw another electric 964 from Everrati earlier this year, but without the livery. The Porsche will sit next to Everrati's other piece of art, an electric Ford GT40 created with Superformance.

The 911 features carbon fiber body elements underneath that iconic blue and orange paint scheme. Motivation comes from a 53-kWh battery connected to an advanced battery management system. Everrati says it's good for 180 miles of cruising, "depending on driving style."

The powertrain sends 500 hp to the rear wheels along with 369 lb-ft of torque, all available from nearly zero rpm. Everrati notes that it has more than double the power of the original 1990's Porsche 964. It can get to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, according to the company.

"Everrati redefines some of the world's most iconic cars enabling them to be driven and enjoyed with a clean future. We are proud to showcase the first of our Gulf-liveried creations based upon an electrified and redefined Porsche 911 (964) at Salon Prive, alongside some true legends of the industry," said Justin Lunny, founder & CEO of Everrati Automotive Limited. "The combination of Gulf's stunning blue and orange livery and our state-of-the-art EV powertrain makes our Signature Edition a truly exceptional zero-emission supercar."

A decade or so ago, our opinion waivered on EVs. At one point we thought they were going to ruin all the fun, then a couple years later we realized EVs are how you have all the fun. We hadn't even thought about converting classic models like the electric Land Rover Defender from Twisted or a Porsche 911. Now that we have, we'd like to welcome our electron overlords, and ask them when we can put one in our driveway. Speaking of, we've emailed Everrati for the price of this new Signature Edition, and will update when we hear back.
