This Guy Made A Six-Speed Manual Transmission Out Of Legos

Seriously, although we don't recommend it for actual use.

Apparently one can make just about anything out of Legos. Whether it’s a life-size replica of a Ford Explorer or scaled-down space shuttles or pirate ships, creativity and lots of free time makes it entirely possible. And then there’s Lego Technic, the art of combining electronics, maybe a little coding here and there, with more complex Lego ideas. Again, creativity and skill, and free time are required. And now this guy has built a replica six-speed transmission.

Look closely and you’ll see all of the gearing and other technical bits in action. Yes, it even shifts via a remote control.
