The General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard is one of the most famous cars to ever grace television screens. The car was based on a Dodge Charger R/T, but was unique thanks to its orange paint and Confederate flag on its roof. In the show, the General Lee performed many stunt jumps that became a staple of series. There are many stunt shows around the US that like to relive the popularity of The Dukes of Hazzard by jumping a Dodge Charger, but these cars are now collectible and jumping them is no longer a viable financial option.

That is why Smith Brothers Restoration specializes in building replica cars for the sole purpose of jumping them and crashing them into stuff. Instead of using a rusty old Charger to build this General Lee, Smith Bros. decided to start with a decommissioned Ford Crown Victoria police vehicle.

It may seem hard to believe that a Crown Victoria could be turned into a Charger, but the two cars have a nearly identical wheelbase. From far away, this replica doesn't look too bad, but it is quite easy to tell from close up. The replica still has the stock interior from the Crown Victoria, but it's still impressive that the conversion looks as good as it does.
