About damn time this happened.
What you're looking at is only a concept – for now. But maybe, just maybe, with enough demand, this Hemi-powered Dodge Challenger AWS GT Concept could make production. Damn, we sure as hell hope so. Making its premiere today at SEMA is a year-round Challenger, so to speak. Imagine plowing that 5.7-liter V8-powered muscle car through the snow just because you can with all that traction. Oh, and it comes with the new Scat Pack 3 Performance Kit.
It features Mopar high-flow manifolds and high-flow catalysts, a gasket set, exhaust manifolds, exhaust adapter, and unique badges. Power is sent to all four wheels via that eight-speed slushbox. That Scat Pack also boosts power to 447 hp and 454 lb-ft of torque. So what about that AWD system? Dodge isn't giving away too many specifics just yet, but we're guessing it's the same system used on the AWD Charger and Chrysler 300. Also interesting here is a new Mopar prototype suspension kit that lowers the car and further improves handling. There's also a Mopar front and rear trust-tower braces. The exterior is painted a wicked cool Destroyer Grey and matte black with Header Orange trim. Also note that off-center stripe.
A Mopar wide-body kit was also added, hence those wheel flares that cover 20-inch, five-spoke wheels, measuring 10 inches wide up front and 11 inches out back. Other body kit components include a chin splitter and rear spoiler. The interior features that same Header Orange trim, applied to the leather seat stitching, center console, shifter, and door panels. OK, we're sold. Dodge, just shut up and take our money.
