Following last month's teaser, David Auto Brown Automotive has revealed the new Mini Remastered Oselli Edition, a high-performance, modern take on the original classic Mini. Limited to just 60 cars to mark the original Mini city car's 60 anniversary this year, the tuned Mini Remastered will be produced in collaboration with classic car performance specialist Oselli.

Under the hood is a punchy 1,420cc Stage 3 engine developed by Oselli that delivers over 100 horsepower – that's 40 percent more power than the original Mini. Power is sent through a remastered five-speed gearbox and the exhaust system and air intake have also been specially engineered to cope with the higher power output.

The chassis is also uprated with suspension enhancements, featuring adjustable performance dampers, while a race-spec brake kit includes large diameter disc brakes gripped by four piston calipers at the front of the car, and alloy rear drum brakes at the rear. Compared to the standard model, the tires are wider and designed for performance at high speed, while the 13-inch wheels are wider and larger in diameter compared to the standard wheels to accommodate the larger brakes.

Two paint schemes are available for the Mini Remastered Oselli edition: the main body can be finished in off-white paint or dark grey with a choice of three tier full-length racing stripes and side accents in Crimson, Royal Blue or Racing Green. The cast alloy engine cover will also be painted to match the exterior stripe and fitted with a unique build plate. Black accents have been applied to the wheel arches, mirrors (including interior mirror) and handles, and a mesh grille with two white inset LED spotlights add to the sporty theme. The build number is painted onto the grille and on the rear denoting the car's exclusivity.

Inside, the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition is available either as a two-seater with a rear hand-trimmed roll cage, or as a four-seater car featuring accent colors matching chosen racing stripe colour and black accents. The two-seater includes hand-trimmed bucket seats and a half-leather roll cage with rear-seat storage and can be equipped with a four-point harness or a standard seatbelt. The steering wheel is hand-trimmed and finished in Sabalt Alacantara.

"This exciting new performance version of the Mini Remastered is a step forward for our company," said David Brown, company founder and CEO. "We are thrilled to be working with Oselli and this partnership sets a marker of intent for our ambitions in the performance car sector. We are sure this Oselli Edition will prove a hit with customers looking for a fast classic car, with the Mini Remastered proving so popular in its own right and the ideal platform for performance enhancements."

David Brown Automotive is also offering personalized matching race suits and helmets as optional extras for owners of the Oselli Edition. Orders are open for the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition, with first deliveries starting next year. The four-seater version of the car is priced from £98,000 ($127,137) while the two-seater version starts at £108,000 ($133,498). Both prices exclude taxes.
