Now that the all-new 2020 Porsche 911 coupe has debuted, Porsche is preparing to unleash the new 911 convertible. As many automakers have started winter testing for prototype test mules, our spy photographers have spotted a new prototype of the new topless 911 Carrera 4S roaming the streets virtually undisguised.

This is our clearest look yet at the new 911 convertible, but don't expect any huge surprises in terms of the styling. As expected, the new 911 convertible closely resembles its coupe counterpart. Compared to its predecessor, the styling is more muscular, the front is less cluttered, and LED matrix headlights have been added to the front. A full-width LED light bar can also be found at the back. Like the previous-generation model, the new 911 convertible has an electric folding fabric roof, which should take less than 20 seconds to deploy.

Like its coupe sibling, the 911 Carrera 4S convertible will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine producing 443 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The coupe does the 0-62 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package and hits a top speed of 190 mph. Since the cabriolet will inevitably be heavier, expect it to be slightly slower off the line.

While we weren't sent any photos of the interior, the coupe gives us a good idea what to expect, such as a 10.9-inch touchscreen and new driver assists. Also expect to pay a premium over the coupe. In the US, the 2020 Carrera S starts at $113,000, while the Carrera 4S starts at $120,600. Given the light amount of camo on this prototype, we're expecting to see the new Porsche 911 convertible break cover very soon, possibly at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in March.
