This Is PROOF That Not All Badass Supercars Are Italian

And that gullwing doors don't suck.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG wasn’t as fast, good-looking, or insaneas the supercars from Italy, but it had an ace up its sleeve—it was fun. WhenMercedes-AMG introduced the GT and GT S, the SLS AMG became obsolete and wasforgotten. With its glorious 6.2-liter V8, the SLS AMG Black Series was tunedto produce 622 hp and could get to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. In its hardcoreguise, the SLS AMG Black Series could demolish any track day and had an aggressivelook that was missing from Italian supercars.

To show some love to the supercar, RENNtech has given theSLS AMG Black Series some performance updates and an even more aggressiveappearance. The most important aspect about the tuning company’s upgradesincludes the ECU tune and stainless steel long tube headers. With these simplemodifications, the SLS AMG Black Series now makes roughly 658 hp. The supercaralso gets a variety of exterior parts to give the German brute a look thatmakes other Italian supercars look pedestrian. The SLS AMG Black Series wasalready an insane supercar, but RENNtech’s version is even more menacing.
