Jaguar is lending a helping hand to The Bloodhound Project, which seeks to shatter the existing land speed record by hitting 1,000 mph. That's 287 mph more than the current record. Jaguar has loaned the team engineering experts and actual engines for the attempt, and now it's throwing in an all-wheel drive F-Type R as a support vehicle. This Jag comes wrapped in a custom Bloodhound SSC livery that looks absolutely amazing and will be available as the rapid response vehicle in the event of an emergency.

Other than the badass look this F-Type R is stock. That's not such a bad thing considering that it tops out at 186 mph and goes from a standstill to 60 in 3.9 seconds. The Bloodhound SSC Jaguar will be shown in full at the 2015 Coventry MotoFest.
