No Hellcat here.
Next year, Jeep will stuff the 707-hp Hellcat engine into the Grand Cherokee and call it the “Trackhawk.” It will be badass and we cannot wait. But we will have to. To pass the time, a new off-road focused variant on the form of the ‘Trailhawk’ has been created, and boy does it look sweet surrounded by dirt and dust. Like the Renegade and Cherokee that shares the name, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be the most aggressive of the available trim levels on the full-size SUV.
From the leaked images we can see it will come packing beefy tires wrapped around darkened five-spoke alloys, some extra ground clearance, and subtle cosmetic upgrades (notice the red tow hooks and black hood panel). Inside, we can see some trim-specific badging and red stitching, and the overall package looks very good indeed. We’ll have to wait for the official release to chew on the specifics and see how much this bad boy costs, as these images were posted ahead of schedule, and Jalopnik were quick to get them up before they were removed. Look out for the full reveal in the coming days, if not hours
