This Is The Kind Of Thing You Expect To See In Russia, Not California

Fail

We have no idea how this guy remained so calm.

We’d expect this kind of incident to happen in Russia, but not in Irvine, California. What happened is pretty simple: A student and instructor were doing a touch and go exercise when the engine failed and required an emergency landing. The plane didn't have enough altitude to land where it took off from, so the pilot and student did the next best thing and parked it on the street. YouTube user CalicoStrike filmed the bizarre incident and described it as an “unusual airplane landing…nobody hurt.”

Thankfully, no one was injured and the incident can be taken lightheartedly because of that.
