This Is The Most Expensive 2020 Jeep Wrangler Yet

The luxurious 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited High Altitude edition ain't cheap.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most rugged off-roaders on the market, but Jeep also caters for customers who want to venture off the beaten track in comfort. Last month, Jeep lifted the wraps off the new High Altitude luxury package for the Wrangler at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show.

Based on the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, the High Altitude trim adds a slew of luxuries including full leather interiors and more standard tech. Details were scarce at the time, but Mopar Insiders has published the full feature list as well as pricing details for the new luxury-focused Wrangler.

As standard, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited High Altitude rides on 20-inch gloss black wheels and is fitted with an LED lighting package and a body-color hardtop, fender flares, front and rear bumpers, exterior mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle. It also has a side step for easier access, a matte black trail-rated badge, as well as a wider front and rear track and a revised gear ratio.

Inside, there are two interior color options available: black and steel grey, but the latter will be available at a later date. The steering wheel is wrapped in black leather, while the seats are finished in Nappa leather with quilting and caramel-colored stitching. The instrument panel mid-bolsters also get the leather treatment.

Standard equipment includes an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen and an Alpine premium audio system, while the Safety Group package adds a parking assist and blind-spot detection, along with keyless entry.

Being the most luxurious 2020 Jeep Wrangler yet, the High Altitude package isn't cheap. In fact, the premium package costs $9,105 more than the Unlimited Sahara package, bringing the total to $47,500 excluding destination. That makes it the most expensive 2020 Jeep Wrangler yet and even more expensive than the more off-road capable Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon, which starts at $46,880 without destination charges. Jeep also offers the opulent High Altitude trim for the Gladiator pickup and the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SUVs.
