Bentley expects the new Flying Spur to make up 20 percent of its global sales.
Back in June last year, the all-new Bentley Flying Spur made its world debut. It may look familiar, but the redesigned grand tourer is better than its predecessor in every way. Production of the new Flying Spur began in November. And now, seven months after it was revealed, the first customer deliveries for the Bentley Flying Spur have begun.
Specifically, deliveries have started for owners across Europe and the UK, with deliveries slated to begin in Eastern Markets, North America and Asia throughout the year. Bentley expects the new Flying Spur to make up around 20 percent of the company's global sales in 2020.
"We have completely reinvented the Flying Spur with a more emotional design, broader dynamic capability, world-leading interior style and innovative technology," said Chris Craft, Bentley's Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing. "The new Flying Spur is the definitive luxury performance sedan and the new Bentley flagship, and we're excited for our customers to start taking deliveries of what we truly believe to be an extraordinary car".
According to Bentley, more than 80 percent of Flying Spur customers are selecting the Mulliner Driving Specification, which adds Mulliner designed 22-inch wheels, lofted diamond quilted seats, three-dimensional leather door panels, a full leather headliner, embroidered Bentley emblems and Bentley's Jewel oil and fuel filler caps.
60 percent of customers also choose the Flying Spur First Edition, which stands out thanks to special exterior badging and interior badging inspired by the Union flag. Several optional features are also standard, including the new electrically-deployed Flying B mascot, Bentley Rotating Display, Touring Specification, and mood lighting.
Every Bentley Flying Spur is powered by a 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged W12, mated to a dual-clutch eight-speed transmission. This setup enables the new Flying Spur to rocket from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 207 mph. Pricing for the 2021 Bentley Flying Spur starts at $214,600.
