Stunning lap time is going to take some beating.
Having stunned the crowds in Geneva with its new road and racing cars, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has just done likewise at the Nurburgring after its SCG003 Competizione set a blistering new lap record of 6:42. According to the firm's Instagram account, the SCG003S - the street variant – is expected to "kiss 6:30 on street tires." While making the record run, the SCG003 was running a 'Balance of Performance' setup, meaning it had restricted horsepower, weight, and aerodynamics, to ensure it was on par with the rest of the GT3 field.
With a time of 6:47.50, the Pagani Zonda R is considered the non-road-legal record holder at the Ring. We're not sure if the SCG003C can now lay claim to that record, but if the street version can clock it's anticipated time, it could easily claim the record for street-legal production cars, currently held by the Raidcal SR8.
