BMW first began car production in 1929 and since then it's became one of the most exclusive automakers in the world. Although the company got its start building airplane engines during World War I, its move into cars propelled them into even greater fortunes, despite a few bumps along the way. From early roadsters such as the 315/1 and 327 to the beautiful Z8 to today's Z4, BMW has continued to evolve its roadsters to be more luxurious and powerful, and has always made them fun to drive.

The guys over at XCAR have created this wonderful video showcasing the history of BMW roadster dating back from 1929 until today. It's a little over 20 minutes long but it's very much worth your time.
