The new open-top LaFerrari Aperta was only just officially revealed to the public, and as expected, it got all the supercar fans excited. As usual with special edition Ferraris, the LaFerrari Aperta will be limited, with only 200 models hitting the streets, and this means the car will become more and more sought after by billionaire collectors. It will be one of those rare cars that will immediately appreciate in value. There are already some people upset that they couldn't get one, and there will probably be plenty more.

This white one seen here belongs to Josh Cartu, the entrepreneur car nut who's known for his involvement with racing Ferraris and partaking in the annual Gumball 3000 rally. We spoke with Josh recently, who told us that his LaFerrari Aperta is chassis #3. As one of the first five models, the stunning hypercar comes with special visible carbon-fiber body parts. Being the owner of Cartu Racing means he also knows how to drive these cars properly, and he promised that the Aperta will get the appropriate treatment on the streets and the track.

The LaFerrari is a special car, and this Aperta open-top model matches the original car's performance with a top speed of 218 mph, a 0-60 time of under 3 seconds and 0-124 mph in just 7.1 seconds. The car retains the electronically assisted V12 that produces a total of 950 hp with 664 lb-ft of torque. Engineers managed to get the car's lines and dimensions to be almost identical, and so to differentiate, Ferrari added some discrete model-specific livery with some graphic accents in a contrasting color to define the main styling contours. We have to admit that while Ferrari's signature color is red, this one in white looks just about perfect to us, but if we had to choose a color, we wouldn't be picky.
