More opulence. More guns. More vodka.
It's been a few months since we've heard from our friend Leo Yankelovich, founder and owner of Latvian-based SUV and vodka company Dartz. Like his company and its bullet proof, Jacuzzi-equipped Prombron lineup of SUVs, Leo is unique, to the say least. No, seriously. He's cool as hell, and we've been huge fans of his creations for years. Last December, he teased us with front end images of the Prombron Black Alligator, a Mercedes-AMG GLS 63-based SUV covered in Kevlar, titanium and carbon fiber. And then the teasing stopped. Until now.
After randomly checking Leo's Facebook page and Instagram account, we saw these images of a prototype Black Alligator. Social media is awesome. We reached out to Leo and he confirmed it's a driving prototype with some details missing. He specifically wanted us to remind everyone of this fact: "This is CAR BODY PRE-PRODUCTION PROTOTYPE, all idiots think its real car." Inside is a $30,000 alligator skin steering wheel encrusted with 292 black diamonds and two rubies. Under the hood lies a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 with an increased output of around 1,600 hp and 1,100 lb-ft of torque. Again, more details to come, but for now enjoy these photos taken at the Gumball 3000 Rally, which began in Riga, Latvia.
