This Is The World's First NFT Digital Concept Car

Alpine's cool creation is being sold exclusively as NFT tokens.

Non-fungible tokens are not new in the automotive industry. NFTs have become big business as people are willing to spend insane amounts of money on these blockchain tokens for digital art assets that can only be accessed by the owner.

A Nissan GT-R NFT recently sold for over $2 million (though it also included a real Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition) and even Rolls-Royce recently entered the virtual world of NFTs with an animated video that coincided with the new Ghost Black Badge. Now, Alpine, the French automaker behind the lightweight A110 sports car, has created the world's first NFT digital concept car.

Created in collaboration with NFT hypercar designer nfast, the five versions of the Alpine GTA Concept will be sold with a unique livery. Each design will be sold exclusively as NFT tokens at an auction taking place on November 3-6. The owners will get to race their cars virtually in Revv Racing, a blockchain-based racing game by Animoca Brands

One of the liveries is inspired by the Alpine F1 Team race livery. Another is finished in black with a prominent A on the side, while the other features a "tricolor digital glitch pattern inspired by the blurring of lines between the virtual and the real." One of the liveries also has blue lines that reveal an overhead diagram and GPS coordinates of Mont Blanc and hidden details that can only be seen when wearing 3D anaglyph glasses.

The final Alpine GTA Concept is finished in the brand's the iconic Alpine blue.

"Alpine is the first European car manufacturer in history to release a new car concept exclusively as NFTs," said Cédric Journel, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Alpine. "After our collaboration with Felipe Pantone, we wanted to go further by offering a field of artistic expression to the designers of Alpine Cars and the Alpine F1 Team, and show our appreciation for the work of independent designers who love our brand. The result is as good as their talent and the quality of the NFTs is exceptional.
