The Mille Migila 2015 is starting today, and while these spectacular models won't be eligible for the event they were captured by our spy photographers and caught on video heading to Italy to tag along. Only 75 units of the Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss were ever made, so seeing one in the metal is a very rare occurrence. Seeing three is a once-in-a-lifetime spot. Originally priced at 750,000 Euros, these cars can command as much as $3 million today.

On top of that a Mercedes-McLaren Roadster 722 S formed part of the exotic ensemble. It's one of just 150 built and priced at over $500,000 when new.

But the Stirling Moss Editions are the most impressive, and most dramatic of all the special editions made of the SLR McLaren. With a speedster body coupled with no roof and no windshield, the special edition model is 440 pounds lighter than the stock SLR McLaren, while the 5.4-liter all-aluminum dry-sump supercharged V8 was upped from 617 to 640 horsepower.
