The current Cadillac Escalade has been on sale for over five years, so an update is long overdue. Fortunately, we don't have to wait much longer because Cadillac has announced the all-new 2021 Escalade will break cover on February 4 at a reveal event in Beverly Hills, California.

That's only a few days before the 2020 Academy Awards. Why is that relevant? Because Cadillac has had a strong presence at the Oscars in recent years. Last year, for example, the Cadillac XT4 was previewed in TV spots during the 2018 Academy awards.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade's debut also happens to be just a few days before the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, so it probably doesn't take a lot of imagination to guess where the 2021 Cadillac Escalade will make its public debut.

"Since its public debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 1998, the Cadillac Escalade has become a cultural phenomenon and defined the full-size luxury SUV segment. On February 4th, we will unveil the 2021 Cadillac Escalade, bringing the next generation of technology to one of the most recognizable vehicles on the road – we can't wait to tell you the story," Cadillac wrote in a media invite.

No other details were shared, but we already know what the 2021 Cadillac Escalade looks like thanks to leaked photos posted online this week just a few days after the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban debuted. While the side profile looks similar to the Tahoe, the front has been redesigned with a new fascia and grille to match the XT6 and new CT5's styling. New vertical LED taillights will also give the rear a more striking design.

Bigger changes can be seen inside the Escalade's revamped interior, which has been upgraded with a significantly larger gauge cluster and infotainment screen as well as copious amounts of wood and metal trim. Powertrain details remain unknown, but all will be revealed on February 4.
