This Is Why Bus Drivers Need To Stay Awake At All Costs

Crash

The terms “bus driver” and “crash” are synonymous in Russia.

Falling asleep on the job is always a terrible idea, but the effect is compounded exponentially when your job involves ensuring the safety of dozens of people. Unfortunately for the passengers of this bus in Moscow, Russia, the exhausted bus driver decided to keep driving despite being visibly tired and trying to keep himself awake. Unsurprisingly, the bus drifts out of its lane and crashes into a pole soon after the driver drifts off to sleep. Seven people were injured in the accident and will be compensated by the Russian government.

It is unclear what consequences the 53-year-old bus driver will face, but for the time being, he will join the ranks of 3,500 other bus drivers who have crashed this year in Russia.
